Ch 9 now airs the very highly rated WWE Smackdown on Friday nights - which was on Ch 11 the past 2 seasons. WWE Smackdown is easily the highest rated show on that channel other than Yankees baseball. So they needed a new night - and apparently they chose Tuesdays.

John H: When I lived in Astoria in the late 1980s I once saw Morton Downey Jr. walking around with a teenager I assumed to be his son. I followed them around for a while, then stopped.
YES!! I can live with a couple of Smackdown preemptions this season. Im glad to see this. Friday night Yankees has been a big problem for WWE on Ch. 9.
what the hell...i have directv in the buffalo area...i got the yankee games on My9 last season but not this season....anyone else going through this???
