Was Eric Mangini a better coach than Bulldog Turner?
Gotta go now to write a newspaper column and take care of another assignment that you can help me with.
I'm supposed to finger the five worst coaches in J-E-T-S/Titans history.
Here's what I came up with:
1. Rich Kotite
2. Lou Holtz
3. Charley Winner
4. Bulldog Turner
5. Bruce Coslet
What do you think? And where would Eric Magini rank? Discuss among yourselves.
Enjoy the 1952 Walcott/Marciano bout on ESPN Classic at 1 a.m. (Check out Rocky's knockout punch about three minutes into the clip below.)

How can you leave out Bill Belichick?
He never even won a game in his tenure as Jets coach.
Probably he did learn all their codes and hand signals, though.
Fair point.
What about Pete Carroll and Ken Shipp? Joe Walton must have incriminating pictures of Leon Hess to last so long. His record was okay but he took over a team that was a tarp from going to the Super Duper Bowl and never getting that far.
How can you include Bulldog Turner in this group? The team was in financial turmoil during his time with the Titans, with checks bouncing that were written by the owner. He did his best under the circumstances and is still considered one of the top NFL players and masters of the game!
