Michael Phelps is SI's Sportsman of the Year.
That's fine, I suppose, but what about 11 catches in sub-zero conditions in a championship game in Green Bay, plus the winning touchdown in the Super Bowl?
I mean, what's a guy in the most popular sport in America gotta do to win that award, anyway?

is it my imagination or does this blog have a slightly new look...
Didn't Favre win it last year? And Brady win it recently too?
Is it just me, or does the cover shot of Phelps look photoshopped? It looks like they superimposed his face.
Other than that, I'm sure Phelps only won because all of Pacman Jones' votes canceled out Plaxico's.
