Rock, Paper, Scissors superstars meet on TV tonight!

im4.jpgIt's on a several-months-old tape delay, but I won't ruin the surprise by telling you who won the third annual USARPS League Championship Tournament, which will be shown at 11 o'clock Monday night on MSG Plus.

If you haven't seen it or played it, trust me, it's the second best sport after hockey, and it's far easier to televise!

“This year’s fist-crushing tournament is a must watch,” USA Rock Paper Scissors League commissioner and executive producer of the show, Matti Leshem, said in a news release. "With a torn ACL in the first few minutes, this show has all the excitement of the New England Patriots opener, only our players play through the pain!”

Nice!
I hope I can follow the puck!

Finally! Something more interesting than Hockey!

No Mets No Yanks....thank gd for MNF!

Seriously, Neil. We both know the flow chart works like this:

American sports fans watch Football
I
When No Football on, Americans Watch Baseball
I
When No Baseball on, Americans Watch Basketball
I
When No Basketball on Americans panic and go elsewhere for entertainment. Perhaps even [gasp] outdoors!
I

Somewhere down here American Sports fans resort to watching hockey. It's actually lower down, but I didn't think you'd scroll to see this typing.

You should have added a few more pipes...

Do you mean, after the Worldwide Leader in Sports aired the prestigous RPS competition last year, live on national [cable] TV, to the fanfare and ridicule of bloggers everywhere, they forfeited those rights to MSG+ (or FSN)? Not ESPN2, ESPNU, or even ESPN8 "The Ocho". But MSG+, who no doubt took advantage of every opportunity to remind us that the nailbiter was available in High Definition, but only to Cablevision subscribers..

What is the sports world coming to? At least Versus still has some credibility - showing two games a week, all winter, of the only sport that really matters.
