Northport gridders poised to move into Top 10
Newsday's Marcus Henry reports that undefeated Northport is not getting any love in the Newsday football poll, evidently because of its allegedly weak schedule.
Let the word go forth from this time and place:
My alma mater will beat Brentwood Friday to stay perfect, and take its deserved spot in the Top 10, or I will personally show up on Main Street, order a rum raisin cone from Pete's Sweet Shop and eat it in public.
So there!

In the interest of journalistic accuracy, It's the Northport Sweet Shop owned by Pete Panarities. Don't you dare lick or otherwise consume the ice cream in the shop or Mr. P will scream at you just he does all the little kiddies. Place your order, pay and walk out as quickly as possible. Good luck because Northport has no chance against Brentwood.
Dude, we always called it Pete's Sweet Shop.
I can understand that. Pete's away for the next month, so the coast is clear. You can get the cone and actually consume some of it inside the shop without worrying about his wrath. Go for it.
