Jeff Fisher has led Oilers/Titans since Stone Age
How long has Jeff Fisher been at the helm for the Oilers/Titans?
This long:
I covered his first game as head coach, also on a Monday night, when the Oilers hosted the Giants at the Astrodome on Nov. 21, 1994.
I composed my game story on a Tandy TRS-80 Model 100. Young readers can ask their parents what that was.
It was kind of like writing on a stone tablet, only less reliable.
Little or no blogging rest of day. Have newspaper stuff to do. This will give you some time to get caught up on recent posts. After that, check out Newsday's Final Score blog, which posts a lot of media-related stuff I would get around to if there were three of me.

If you had covered Joe Paterno's first game as Penn State coach in 1966, you could have done your report on an IBM 360.

Spent my preteen years using my dad's TRS-80. The Football game was rudmentary and most games had to be loaded via cassette tape. I can't imagine hacking on that thing to write a game story.
Wow. I haven't even seen a reference to a Trash-80 in years, much less an actual picture.
If you're feeling nostalgiac, and if you get back from your real newspapering within the hour, you can actually buy one on ebay for 36 bucks:

(Best of all, its a model 100, actually banned by the FCC for interfering with your mobile phone and pacemaker!)
