Danyelle Sargent tells all in interview with Dan Patrick

Mike_Singletary.jpgOne more thing: Here is the complete audio of Danyelle Sargent of Fox talking to Dan Patrick, via Awful Announcing.

She explains what she intended to ask Mike Singletary and how the video turned up on the Internet and "Mike'd Up," and even revisits her infamous f-bomb on ESPN.

"I don't see how anyone could have thought it was on-air, because I stopped in the middle of the interview," Ms. Sargent says of her aborted sideline interview of Singletary. "I don't see how you could think that."

She calls the decision to air the video "malicious" and designed to maker her "look stupid."

Sigh. Was it a mistake to use the un-aired video? Yes, as Ch. 4 has acknowledged.

Was it intentionally malicious? No more so than the potentially embarrassing bloopers that have appeared on TV and radio and the Internet since the dawn of electronic media time.

Time to move on, America.

A clip of a sideline reporter "designed to make [her] look stupid."?

See Tautology.

homework, that is what she needs too learn.

After listening to the clip, I love how Dan Patrick is taking this all so seriously, and almost has that hint of outrage and Mike Francessa.

It's obivous Dan is friendly with her and wants to blame everyone else for what happened. Her excuse was pretty weak and what she claims to have wanted to ask him and what she did are two completely different questions, really can't see how you could get them confused.

Either way she is best served just letting it go.

She stopped because her earphone buzzed like a fire alarm! What she meant to say. Come on - she said what she meant to say, thus the "What was wrong?"

Reagan saying 'we're bombing russia', etc. etc. This stuff gets out all the time.

"I don't see how you could think that."

That's because it's Ms. Sargent...

But Jay Glazer is reporting that Mike Francesa called Tirico Suave and then Suave Called Me at the Blitz which is just wrong...

A tad off topic, Neil, but football-media related nonetheless.

I find it interesting that most of Wisconsin (including Green Bay and Milwaukee) is showing the Jets/Bills game at 1pm on CBS opposite the Packers/Titans game on FOX at 1.

We all know why they're showing the Jets game at 1 instead of the Dolphins/Broncos at 4, but aren't the local markets (Fox in this case) supposed to be protected against showing an out-of-market game against a local game when it could very well be avoided?

I only ask this because of the involvement of the Jets.

John: If the game were in Green Bay, it would be protected. Because it is on the road, the local CBS affiliate can show the Jets against it.

Bimbo. Shouldn't she know at least something about football before she asked that dumb question? And I love how she starts off the question with "I heard", as if someone told her Walsh was his mentor and spoke to the new coach. Big step back for female reporters taken seriously, fair or not.

im sure dan knows her from espn. shes hot so i dont care either way.

this is the chick thats dating ex Sac Kings coach Eric Musselman. He's the coach who was fired after he was busted for drunk driving, and gave the Kings the worse season record since Rick Adelman.
