Star-Ledger owners threaten to shutter place Jan. 5

Early in my career, The Star-Ledger of Newark widely was considered among the most profitable, stable newspapers in America.

Now . . . less so.

Both major North Jersey newspapers - the Bergen Record aka Record of Hackensack ... and now the Star-Ledger ... are barely hanging on.
Does anyone in the Garden State read a newspaper?
