Mike Francesa offers Derek Jeter top billing over him
Derek Jeter was on with Mike Francesa earlier this afternoon.
"Did you get a new sidekick yet?" Jeter asked.
"No, I haven't; I'm still looking,'' Francesa said. "You know, if you need Februarys off we could still work it out. I'll even throw in top billing."
"There you go,'' Jeter said.
Hmm. Was he accepting or declining or neither? When you think about it, there aren't many candidates on the Yankees roster who would be better at the job than Jeter, now that Babe Ruth and Reggie Jackson and David Wells are gone.
Giambi? Damon? Joba? No, no and no.
