Readers carry WatchDog to a record-shattering May
The page views total for May is so ridonkulous I'm frankly a little scared and intimidated by it.
I don't think I can sustain this without giving up one or more of the following things: the newspaper column, interacting with my family, showering.
Profound thanks as always to all of you who read this stuff on a regular basis. We're in this together.
We finished first among sports blogs - even baseball - for the second time ever, and shattered WatchDog's previous page views record set in January by more than 30 percent.

I gotta imagine that if Boland stays hot on the heels of the burgeoning "Flight Crew" investigation, what with his state of the art technology over there, the Watchdog will be nothing more than a whimpering puppy within a matter of months.

I think I speak for everyone when I say we don't want you to give up the last thing on your list.
My computer has no way of delivering smells that are associated with the content generators, undoubtedly for the best. Therefore, feel free to stop showering. That will probably solve the family interaction problem too. Knowing a few newsrooms, I don't see this as a solution for getting out of your column work though.
