I plan on writing about this in the Friday newspaper, but I couldn't bear gymnastics fans missing any of the Olympic trials Thursday, so I'm telling you now:
As part of its partial purchase of WCSN, NBC re-branded that Olympic-sports-oriented outfit's TV channel as "Universal Sports," and it now is available to digital customers of the three major NY-area cable companies - on Channel 110 for Cablevision - as well as Verizon FiOS.
Nationally, the channel will jump from about 2 million homes to 12 million by the time the Olympics begin.
Anyway, like I said: gymnastics, tonight! Starting at 7! Enjoy.
