Michael Strahan signs up with Fox
Busy day for Deitsch.
It began with him praising me.
It ended with him breaking the news that Strahan has signed with Fox.
How the heck did he beat Jay Glazer to that news?

"If proven true" - Wow! Deitsch really trusts your industry sources with knowledge of the situation as well as yourself.
Neil, the following is an excerpt from Deitsch's article:
"Best's story Sunday about the potential breakup of WFAN's Mike and the Mad Dog (Simon and Garfunkel, anyone?) radio program, if proven true, would be the biggest story in sports-talk radio in 2008."
"If proven true" can not be seen as a compliment because it implies that your sources and yourself (professionally speaking) may or may not be creditable.
If Deitsch wrote, "..., if proven false, would be one of the worst confirmed sourced stories in sports media journalism in 2008," I do not believe you would have provided a link to his article.
I believe by Deitsch stating, "if proven true," he is stating that the lack of facts and lack of evidence from sources that you have provided in your article causes someone in Deitsch's position or in my position to doubt the accuracy of your article. He basically said "prove it to me" because when the following statements are included in an article:
"It is not clear which host would remain on WFAN, ..."
and
"The reasons for a potential breakup are not entirely clear, ..."
Who can say they are clear on the matter?
We shall see.
