Just days before Big Brown will attempt to become the first Triple Crown winner in 30 years, Hooters Restaurants has signed as a secondary sponsor of the horse. The deal follows an earlier primary sponsorship by UPS. In observance of The Belmont Stakes, Hooters will be holding "Big Brown Day" on Saturday at its 440 restaurants, so customers can watch the horse chase history. The deal includes logo placement on the pants and undershirt of jockey Kent Desormeaux. 16W Marketing, Rutherford, NJ, represents Big Brown and Desormeaux for marketing and sponsorship deals.

Hooters has also made a commitment to the Desormeaux Foundation to help raise awareness for Usher Syndrome, a rare genetic condition that causes hearing loss or deafness and progressive loss of vision, which the jockey's son suffers from.
