Here I was, minding my own business, getting ready to link to Scott's Shots for an update on the Boston Herald's belated apology for making Glauber do extra work the day before Super Bowl XLII, when an even juicier tidbit emerges.
Check out the audio, via Scott's Shots, of Brady appearing "The Big Show" on WEEI in Boston (about eight minutes in) and describing his respect for the Giants, in contrast to his lack of respect for a team that wears green and has four letters in its name.
Yikes! Sept. 14 can't get here soon enough.

I am a Jets fan but why should Tom Brady respect the Jets? What have they done in the last ten years that warrants Tom Brady's respect. You earn respect.....as a Jet fan they havent earned my respect either.

Brady doesn't respect the Jets? Who does? They flip flop between mediocre and horrible, depending on their schedule. Due the horrible record last year, they will have the soft schedule this year, and will win 8 games. The following year they will have earned a semi tougher schedule, and will win 4 games. They are about as close to being a championship team as the Knicks are.
Whatever! Not too many people respect dead-beat dads either. Maybe Brady should spend more time out west with his little boy instead of running all over Manhattan with Giselle and singing the praises of the Giants.
Nobody respects cheaters either Tom. You should and Bill B. should meet up with Barry Bonds and start a club or something. Worry about your own lack of respect. You cheat to win, and you don't take care of your kids. Loser.
Brady is only saying he has respect for the Giants because they put him on his butt for four straight quarters and ruined the Patriots' perfect season. I am a Jet fan, but I can understand the Patriots not respecting the Jets. All the Patriots have done is win, while we continue to be the same ol' Jets!
I'm a Jet fan who doesn't even respect my Jets, so why would Brady or any other opponent? We haven't shown a good rush in years. Hopefully that will change this season. I had a great feeling going into the 2006 season, a so-so one going into last season (8-8, boy was I wrong) and a so-so one going into this season (8-8). There's so much work to be done and it's gonna take time. So long as we start heading up this season, I'll support Mangini and Tannenbaum. Another 4 win season and it'll be off with their heads!

The Jets are NOTHING, a LOSER franchise and they will always be nothing.
If it wasn't for the Jets' Mo Lewis destroying Drew Bledsoe he may never had the opportunity to be where he is today. He was an unheralded 6th round pick and should to this day be down on his hands and knees thanking the Jets.

You respect another team simply because its the right thing to do. You respect the hard work and preparation your peers put in day in and day out. Thats what you respect. By the way, in case anyone has forgotten, if not for McCairns dropping a perfect pass from CP in the back of the endzone, we beat the Pats last year. Brady won the lottery by landing with a team that always had a solid o-line. Thats what he should be talking about. The guy is a below average QB when under pressure. As Ralph Kramden said, "be kind to the people you meet on the way up, because you're gonna meet the same people on the way down". I take Pennington over that classless punk any day.
I dont respect the Jets. I do like when they bend over though. My favorite part of the game is when I place my hands gently between my centers legs and when some guy from the other team sacks me and is laying on me. Oh Baby!
