Howard Cosell and The Mick, a half century ago

mantle_mickey.jpgHere is Howard Cosell interviewing Mickey Mantle about the 1958 World Series.

And Mel Allen interviewing Whitey Ford and Yogi Berra, who answers questions pretty much the same way 50 years later.

Why this link? Why the heck not?

I'm trying to stay awake, and 2008 is starting to bore me.

Damn....I can't play it.. says my "flash player is too old".

I have a Mickey Mantle Shrine in the corner of my office.
And a very expensive autographed (authentic) nicely framed vintage picture of the Mick walking amidst the box seats of Yankee Stadium circa 1954? (I can't tell-but he is very young) hanging over my fireplace.

Maybe that's what made my flash player too old.

My kingdom for a moderately sized blue pill.

C'mon Neil, you can do it!!!
