YES selling more stuff on 'Mike and Mad Dog' show
YES seems to have added to its revenue streams from the "Mike and Mad Dog" simulcast by putting ads on the screen during the show itself in addition to breaks.
It's like those ads they put on the border of the screen during soccer games because there are no TV timeouts.
So far today I have been inspired to purchase souvenir bats tied to the last seasons of Yankee and Shea Stadiums and Ricoh copiers.
I might have turn to the Home Shopping Network to save money before this gets out of hand.

They also need a better commeical selection- it's like they loop the same 3 over and over again- gisueppe franco hair loss, elder plan health insurance, and riddex bug remover. So I guess the typical Mike and the Mad Dog watcher is an elderly balding gentlemen with bugs in his house.
I love how Mushnick rails against the Guiseppi Franco ads - he works for the POST - every other ad is for 1-800-CALL-GIRL and Hott 22's ;)
Slightly unrelated, but a YES question for you Neil: Did you know that YES sells tickets to its tapings of 'CenterStage?' (though the website says it 'Cordially Invites you" ... http://web.yesnetwork.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20070517&content_id=1424509&vkey=1
Is that odd? I thought shows all gave away the tickets to the tapings...
Aren't they in the last year of their contract together?
It's hard to sell advertising if you don't have a viewing audience. Besides the yankees games does YES ever get 100,000 viewers for any show they run?
Jerry: YES does NOT charge for tapings to CenterStage.
