The schedule is out for the Rangers-Pens series. No surprise: NBC is grabbing two of the games for Sunday afternoon showing. Two others are Versus exclusives. The others will be on MSG.
I will explain further how all this works in the newspaper this week.

Game 1: Friday, 7 p.m., Versus
Game 2: Sunday, 2 p.m., NBC
Game 3: April 29, 7 p.m., MSG (Versus in the rest of the country)
Game 4: May 1, 7 p.m., Versus
Game 5: May 4, 2 p.m., NBC
Game 6: May 5, 7 p.m., MSG (Versus in the rest of the country)
Game 7: May 7, TBD

that's fine...to be perfectly honest, i've never even heard of Syl Apps. I just wanted to show off my googling skills.

A/Syl Apps played for Toronto in the 40's and is NOT the guy in the picture.

I spend most of my time outside.....enjoying the bright cloudless sunshine.....the clear fresh air....and smoking cigarettes.

Syl Apps Jr. was traded from the Rangers to the Pens for ... Glen Sather.
At the Mellon they should play Madonna's "Vogue" at the first sight of Avery.
the Pens and Caps are the national attraction. The Rags are a national laughingstock with horrible ratings getting a free ride on Crosby's back because Philadelphia won.
Rags would not see a single game on NBC if it were Crosby-Ovechkin and you know it.
Just look at those comical regular season Rag ratings on NBC.
Are you going to Dolan and Watkins for your steroid-induced Rag ratings or will the newsday budget actually allow you to call Nielsen and print the real ratings.
Either way golf, basketball, nascar and the NFL draft will rule New York with baseball.

Uh Anon, you forgot Buffalo. The Rangers have done a terrible job getting fans from my area. No radio station here carries them up here and they prefer to cater to the Nutmeg State rather than the Upstate NY. And the Islanders are even less irrelevant. The Devils use to have their AHL team hear so some hockey fans lean toward them but it is mostly passion for college hockey than the NHL. The Sabres have one of the best fan bases in America though.
