Watching that video I kept waiting for some reference to the most profound Jewish influence on our nation's pasttime and finally the next to last panel showed it.

The Kosher Hot Dog IS baseball.

In preparation for the upcoming viewing season (doesn't really start for me until hockey playoffs get into the semi-finals when options are fewer) I loaded up on 2 for 1 Nathans at my local grocery store yesterday and even threw in some high priced Hebrew Nationals for good measure.

The Pope went to Yankee Stadium because he didn't want to get booed at Shea and the fact we have a Pagan on our team. But personally I think the Mets got the better of it all. Pope John Paul II went to Shea and Mike Piazza gave him a Mets jersey. We win the deal.
