WatchDog does not encourage gambling. But if you must, I hope you took my advice minutes before the start of the Frozen Four and bet the house on BC.
No need to thank me. Just spend some of your winnings patronizing Newsday.com advertisers. Tell them WatchDog sent you.
I'm happy for BC and its fans after two straight title game losses, and even more than that I'm happy whenever Eastern hockey can take one from the uncivilized hordes from the Upper Midwest hinterlands.
Or, in this case, from Notre Dame.

Is Ithaca, NY in the uncivilized hinterlands?
Yo, be nice!
The twice daily delivery truck loaded with brie, snails, The New York Times and Godiva Chocolates to the Cornell campus keeps the "un" out of the civilized hinterland criteria for Ithaca.
And as far as the "uncivilized hordes of the Upper Midwest hinterlands"......when it comes to HOCKEY...there is a clear distinction between that and the polka ridden ghettoes of Northern Minnesota (Where Mrs 505 is from).
I decided to torture myself as a Devils fan and watch the MSG telecast of the game since no Doc on the Devil's side. Granted I expected the homerism from Rosen and Al Trautwig's fawning but I found it very humorous how much Michelleti has sold his soul to Team Dolan in his blatant homerism. It's not even genuine homerism. His initial call that Zajac embellished a fall to the ice to get a penalty called when he really got his head slammed into the glass was the icing on the cake. I now know where most Islanders fans are coming from. Billy Jaffe is so much better and while enthusiastic, he isn't a homer.
