I just watched highlights from the first episode of a new YES series called "YESterdays" that can only be described as "This is Your Life" comes to the Bronx.
Or in this case, Nebraska, where Michael Kay and Joba Chamberlain talk to assorted figures from Joba's childhood, including his senior prom date, later a basketball player at Nebraska.
There are scary pictures of a chubby young Joba, and this classic line from the hard-throwing setup man:
"You only live once; enjoy what you eat."
It's weird, but cute. It will debut after Friday's Yankees-Red Sox game.
Next in the series, coming in May: A-Rod. Seriously. That should be interesting.

Even more interesting is that Canseco will be the first guest when A-Rod's show is on.
So....Wouldn't an A-Rod/Canseco episode be more appropriately titled...
"This Is Your Wife?"
