Looks like John Feinstein has company.
Now two AP pollsters are voting for Cornell.
Top 25, here we come!
(UPDATE: I again tapped into the vast network of college hoops spies I developed in the early 1990s to uncover the identity of the second Cornell voter. It's Steve Rivera of the Tucson Citizen. I assume Steve recalls how close the Big Red came to upsetting Arizona in the first round of the NCAAs the last time we qualified, in 1988. It was 90-50, but Cornell clearly was about to turn the tide and simply ran out of time.)

Props to both John F and Steve Rivera,
Nice to see in this day of one year and gone for the super frosh, the Kelvin Sampson's of the world.. that a true scholar-athlete league and program gets a little notice. The mid-majors got alot of attention a few years back when Bucknell knocked off Kansas and Arkansas in back to back years. If Cornell can win its last two regular season games and go 22-5 with a 16 game winning streak, it could get a seed as high as 12.... that would make for a most interesting first round matchup.
Barry Big Red
ESPN.com's college basketball's front page featured the Cornell team today. By the way, given the opportunity, I would've casted a third vote as sportswriter for the Cornell Daily Sun. I'm thinking we'll get a 13 seed at best though--likely a 14. What are you predicting Neil?
Let's Go Red
Assuming they sweep this weekend, they better get a 13. I already have made a wager to that effect with a p.r. man at a prominent national TV network.
