Mike Francesa needs a timeout at Nassau Coliseum
Here is the YouTube posting - via Mike Francesa.com - that fans of "Mike and the Mad Dog" have been waiting for since Thursday afternoon.
It's Mike getting a tad frustrated with a technical person with whom he is working at Nassau Coliseum.
Scary!

Now *that's* good radio!
Neil, is it me, or has Mike been more miserable than usual? I mean, I know it's a slow time of year for sports, but suck it up, Mike. There are plenty of people who would be glad to get paid that much money to talk sports everyday, and not seem like it was the worst job in the world.
Did anything from Eddie, or the now unemployed Jim, go "on the air"? I was watching and YES and did not hear anything.
I did not hear anything on the air either.
well, I hope Jim doesn't hold his breath awaiting an apology.
That was as bad an outburst as I've ever heard from Mike. It's moments like those that make me hate his holiness. Clearly, whatever was being said was only audible on the radio. But to act that way about "his show" on the air is incredulous. For crying out loud, Imus doesn't even get that seriously annoyed with technical glitches, and lord knows there were plenty of them when he first came back on WABC and on RFD.
Did anything subsequently happen to Jim?
I really don't see how I can work with Mike ever again. His ego gets a little too much out of control at times and unfortunately this was one of them.
mike sounds and looks like my coach bill parcells in that clip.
I believe that modern communications have passed Mike and the Mad Dog by, leaving them sitting and reading the newspapers and hanging up on the callers - while the rest of the world has moved on to texting, blogs and other computer related actions. They are way behind the times, making fun of computers and also making the support staff do their research and berating them for being slow.
They act like royalty, but they are not.
Hey Annie Savoy...they are royalty.
I really don't know how they have a job. Unbelievable. I might listen to them for 5 minutes a week. Management should give them the axe and start fresh.
Wow! I sense a campaign afoot to get rid of Mike Francesa or at least bash him at every opportunity. Who knows what he was experiencing during that show segment? None of the critics ever get annoyed with co-workers? The "Mike and the Mad Dog Show " is still the best out there and if it weren't on it would be missed. What do you want in its place? Boomer and the other schmuck (who doesn't have an interesting or humorous bone in his body). No thanks. Francesa has forgotten more than most of the others will ever know. Without Francesa and Steve Somers you might as well unplug WFAN. Mike can be testy, but so can all of us. He even helps me accept Chris Russo; a tall order.
If The Cartoon, The Buffoon, Screech, and the Schmoozer weren't so awful, Mike and the Mad Dog might be held to some standard.
These guys are a shadow of their former selves.
There is NO WAY they should be on TV.
And if they were off the radiowaves, who would really miss them?
lucy, please refer to them as the player and the putz.(morning doo doo show)
