Ed Koch on governors visiting prostitutes: no big deal
Ed Koch was on the radio with Sid Rosenberg Tuesday morning on 790 The Ticket in south Florida.
Sounds like a match made in talk radio heaven.
Sure enough . . . check out Mr. Koch's take on the unfortunate incident(s) involving his friend the governor of New York (for the next hour or so, anyway).
He is less concerned about the niceties of marital fidelity and such than many people.
"He used a prostitute,'' Koch said. "That's not so terrible."
(UPDATE: Newsday's Anthony Rieber offered this observation on Hizzoner: "Ed Koch is to political reporters what Don Zimmer is to sports reporters. You go to him when you need comments about any subject and he always delivers, even though no one really cares what he thinks anymore."

Didn't Koch's friend used to prosecute prostitution rings and say that businessmen who used them were vulnerable to blackmail? Of course Koch is an expert on long happy marriages.
Does anyone really care what Ed.Koch has to say anymore? How is he doin?
Obviously not, if he is available to talk to Sidiot Rosenberg
If I was him, I'd keep my mouth shut considering the rumors about why he never got married.
Did anyone out there ever see Jimmy Cagney's last movie: a made for TV one called "Terrible Joe Moran"" Koch has a walk on as a boxing manager. Worst. Actor. Ever. If you are a Cagney fan, do yourself a favor and don't see it. Katherine Hepburn had the good sense to turn the script down.
Koch's comments on CNN indicate something different, notes "a screw loose" and "irrational behavior" since becoming governor. The prostitute is only part of it. He was sending large sums of money to fake companies which caused banks involved to call authorities.
Jim Tedisco says New Yorkers are "heartbroken". Well given the way Tedisco (He's around my neck of the woods) has behaved about Spitzer since his days as attorney general, his comment just proves he lives in another universe. Tedisco has done his best impression as a tapeworm to Spitzer since he was sworn in yet he should be completely impotent given he's the minority leader for a party that fields less than an NFL roster in the state assembly.
