Duke and North Carolina draw many viewers

andrews.htmAnother boring ratings post (thanks for your patience):

It turns out Saturday night's Duke-UNC tilt was ESPN's most-watched men's college hoops game ever with an estimated average of 5,612,328 viewers.

That broke the two-week-old mark of 5,281,000 set by the Tennessee-Memphis game.

ESPN said Saturday's game was the most-viewed regular-season game on any network in more than a decade.

I ignored most of it but after 10 minutes or so of loud cheering from Mrs. WatchDog (a Dukie), I ambled over to check it out.

Then UNC scored 10 in a row. That quieted her down effectively.

So many people saw the impersonator of Speedo in the words of Dan Shulman "offend many people" for his actions regarding his gestures and well, just wearing a speedo.
