Here is The Boston Globe's take on the Great New York Hope (Along with Siena) in the NCAA Tournament.
Sources tell me the story appeared on the front page of the sports section, appropriately.
And here is another look at the Big Red from Newsday.com's own Mark La Monica.
(Sorry, readers. But don't worry, your long nightmare almost is over. Barring a glorious upset, by Thursday night I'll be on to other obsessions . . . like the Cornell women's team.)

Neil whats it like in the future?
The time stamp on this blog entry is 11:29am..........its only 10:00am REAL time maybe you can fill out my bracket for me .....wink...wink.
In the spirit of one of the original shockjocks in America, I've got one thing to say about the Cornell Women's Basketball Team.
"Just an assemblage of pink bow headed, laptop toting, Moliere quoting, future employers of America".
I'm sure that BOTH Cornell teams being in the dance created some logistical issues for the NCAA.
Extra tickets for each player's limo driver, extra parking for the additional limos/lexus'/humvees at the game sites, additional power outlets behind the benches for their laptops, alternative pre and post game meal spreads consisting of fresh California veggie wraps, expensive Chardonnay's, imported French cheeses, and individual 52 inch HDTV's in the locker room.
But it was nice of Cornell and their alumni to supply the pregame and half time entertainment...
Janet Reno will be taping an episode of "What Not To Wear", Ann Coulter and Bill Maher will engage in a 5 minute mud wrestling throwdown for charity, and C Everett Koop will be autographing packs of Marlboro Red's for $5.00 a pop, among many many others (that's quite a list of ammo in Wikipedia).
You forgot Ed Marinaro and Ken Dryden.
Neil,
HOW MANY TIMES......must I remind you.....
..that you cannot talk about acting and hockey in the same sentence without referencing Gary Bettman.
Cuz he is hands down, THE Cornell grad who melds those two diverse professions.
To continue Islander505:
Keith Olbermann gives a special comment, Paul Wolfowitz finally clips his toe nails, Jeremy Schapp does Part 2 of his interview with Bob Knight, Kevin Boothe tries to convince the crowd he is indeed the member of the SUPER BOWL CHAMPION NEW YORK GIANTS, an unlikely halftime entertainment pair of Peter Yarrow and Greg Gaffin with Ruth Bader Ginsburg judging them all.
The carcasses of Strunk and White will be resurrected for a special seminar for all Newsday reporters to attend, free of charge.
In a special halftime performance in the lobby, Robert Moog will
put Pearl Buck's Greatest Hits to music.
William F Friedman will be the guest "closed captioner" for the Dick Vitale impaired. (Check out THAT guy's claim to fame).
Ken Blanchard will go on the air with Vitale and Knight to introduce his new work....."The One Minute Color Analyst".
"The carcasses of Strunk and White will be resurrected for a special seminar for all Newsday reporters to attend, free of charge."
Of course, Baumbach will decline the invitation, cuz after all, he has HIS OWN BOOK.
