The Yankees might want to consider re-signing Billy Crystal to a long-term deal.
Turns out Thursday's game featuring Crystal averaged 1.1 percent of area homes and 89,000 viewers, making it the highest-rated and most-watched weekday spring training day game in YES history.
(The previous mark was set on March 2, 2006, when a game against the Phillies drew an 0.86 rating.)
I'm almost positive I would not have made contact with any of those pitches.

how did steven a.wful smith wrap up his final show today?
Oh man, Forget Paris, one of his many awful movies. He has done some embarrassingly bad movies (Analyze That, My Giant , Fathers' Day, City Slickers II, Mr. Saturday Night) and in his best movie, City Slickers, he wears a Mets hat the whole film.
As a Yankee fan, I'd jump off the Brooklyn Bridge before I'd wear a Mets hat. It's not like the hat was central to his character. He could have wore anything else. He defiantly had enough power to say no to the f'n Met hat. The IMdb message board claims Billy said on WFAN the Mets donated to one of his charity's so he wore the hat. So if Steinbrenner threw some money at him he'd wear a Yankee hat?
He just wore the hat because the Mets were the toast of the town back then and the Yanks were garbage.
Bottom line, Crystal is a dope!
As I heard Heyman tell Mike and the Dog yesterday, Crystal is not liked by sportswriters by the way he depicted them in the movie 61. Also Crystal never seemed to be around the Yankees before 1996.
