1969 World Series/Easter fun, Part V

More stuff from before Game 4, including a brief appearance by Jack Dempsey. (UPDATE: Loyal reader Dennis D'Agostino says he thinks that's Toots Shor, not Dempsey, at the 2:26 mark. Discuss among yourselves.)

OK, that's enough for now.

Happy Easter.

I stand corrected. I can't argue with the man who wrote This Date in Mets History (I got it my sophmore year in college and it still sits proudly next to my copy of The Year the Mets Lost Last Place)- it is Toots Shor and not Dempsey.at 2:26. Kubek did an interview with Shor later in the game. Of course the fact that there are still grown men who are able to identify either Toots Shor or Jack Dempsey on a 1969 TV broadcast in the year 2008 (much less know who they are) is disturbing.

After viewing these pregame shows, I also Googled David Eisenhower. I was shocked to see that he is a 60 year old man who looks like his grandfather. He also looks like my wife's Uncle Steve. Back to Easter dinner.
