WatchDog Nation dominates recent SI covers

SI-Swimsuit-cover.jpgCongratulations to Marisa Miller for making the cover of this year's Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue.

If you count the special Giants collectors' edition that came out last week, this marks the fifth consecutive SI cover subject I know personally - Eli Manning, Michael Strahan, Manning again, David Tyree and now Ms. Miller, whom I met at the SI party on Super Bowl Eve.

(I have been in the homes of Strahan and Tyree, but not Manning or Miller.)

I can't wait to see which of my pals is on the cover of this week's regular edition. Chris Russo? John Sterling? Will Leitch? Bob Glauber . . . in a Speedo?

UPDATE: It's Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Never met the man.

(I usually do not post pictures of this type on the blog, which I try to keep family friendly. But I made it as small as possible, and it IS Sports Illustrated, for goodness' sake. I've been reading the magazine since I was 10, so I guess I can trust its editors not to corrupt current 10-year-olds, um . . . right?)

Thanks for nothing Neil. Russo/Sterling in a Speedo?!? Now I know I won't be sleeping for the next few days. At least you didn't mention Francessa in a Speedo. Damn, I just did and now I won't be sleeping for weeks!!!!!

Put a few more pixels on that picture, please?

Neil- Francesa and Russo are discussing you again. 1:35 this time, instead of your usual 5pm spot.

I was in city at an HBO screening. What did they say this time?

Something along the lines that you wrote about the Grammy spot they ran on Monday's program and then Russo said "it's amazing what Best can pick up". Francesa says "you have no life", and you pick up the little stuff but miss the big things like the Carlin/Jones incident from Friday.

It was mostly praise though

I think Bob Glauber and Neil Best should be on the cover of SI, in their Speedos walking across the Brooklyn Bridge !
