Turner has announced the first eight games on its new Sunday MLB slate, and sure enough, our local heroes are heavily featured.
The first eight weeks include three Yankees games and one Mets game. But those games will be blacked out in the local market, where the games will be seen on their customary local outlets.

Do you know anything about how these games might affect the MLB Extra Innings package on cable? I know during Saturday afternoons because of the Fox broadcasts, they can't show any games between 1 and 7pm, which is basically most of the games. If they pull this on Sundays too, the package is a waste of money.
Gonna be fun hearing Chip Caray make up erroneous stories/facts/stats ad nauseum. Hopefully Ron Darling isn't going to do any national games.
Good question, Sandy. I will inquire.
I'm not neil, but the TBS package is non exclusive.
Games will still be shown locally and via the MLB EI package.
Only exception is the "home markets".of the two competing teams.
For example on April 13th Cubs vs Phillies- WGN or Comcast Chicago will be prohibited from televising. Same for Comcast Philly or any OTA carrying the Phillies.
Any other games that Sunday can be televised via the MLB EI package.
Well since my "home" teams are already blacked out in my local market I guess its OK then. Since we don't get FSN down here. However, either Neil's or David's info is wrong about the blackout part.
Local TV can and will televise games TBS aris on Sundays, so the April 13 game WILL be televised in Chicago by WGN or Comcast, etc.
Story containing details about the TBS Sunday package is posted @
