Tino Martinez has got to go . . . right now!
Boomer and Carton had some fun on WFAN this morning with an interview with Tino Martinez that ended comically and abruptly after Carton asked one last steroids question.
Martinez said he had to go, but the hosts wondered whether he was just tired of the line of questioning.
The latter might have been true, but the former certainly was, because a few minutes later I turned to ESPN 1050 and there he was talking to Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic.
Speaking of 1050 and Andy Pettitte, I was impressed with Max Kellerman's guts for his willingness to aim blunt barbs at organized religion this morning and on other occasions.
Most of his listeners no doubt passionately disagree with his take.
I won't say where I stand on such issues, because WatchDog strives to remain apolitical, and to avoid making 97 percent of Americans really mad.

I heard Tino filled in for Waldman doing games with Sterling. Is that true? How was he? I remember him having a very "deer in the headlights" personality on Baseball Tonight.
Maybe Tino's just learning what many of us have long known -- that The Cartoon and the Buffoon is a waste of time and air.
There's something extremely unlikable about Kellerman but he has by far the best sports radio show in NYC right now.
cgar.....kellerman has the best sports radio show. you are either his girlfriend, wife, best friend, son, or father. he is a terrible listen.

I'm a 26 year old, educated, male who grew up a NYC sports fan. I think Max is the only person I can relate to. I watch Mike and the Mad Dog b/c its the only live NYC sports show on at the time. I really believe ANYONE could get their ratings. They have NO local competition. To me, Mike and MD and every other show are just dumb old men.
I hate the Carton/Boomer show, but Carton asked a really good question, and Tino ran away. I wonder if Tino and Golic compared steroid stories?
"The Ego and The Speedo In the Morning" is horrid.
kellerman is by far the best show. mike and maddog are just stinky old men that smell like gyros and cigars. boomer is cool but carton is the worst. he thinks hes so edgy, cool, and crazy but in reality hes unfunny and uncreative. mike and mike are cool if i was 6 years old, sorry but i want my talk radio to at least be rated pg. its all about kellerman best sports show ever
