While talking to NFL Films president Steve Sabol about the Giants DVD for my Friday newspaper column today, I asked him what he thought about HBO's recent decision to stop carrying "Inside the NFL."
"We were surprised,'' he said. "That was a 31-year relationship . . . Hopefully we’ll find another home for it. It's a great tradition. I remember when we met with Mike Fuchs, Austin Furst and Marty Glickman and sat on orange crates and talked about this idea of doing highlights.
"We feel it’ll come back in some form or another. It was a terrific relationship. We had a long run, goal line to goal line. And we like to think we scored."

Does anybody really know what possessed Greenberg to do such a thing? I can't take him seriously. He doesn't think the Giants bolting from San Francisco isn't a big deal yet telling the same story of why the Dodgers left Brooklyn for the umpteenth time is and he keeps giving Bob Costas a show with a different format, different time, different title, and doesn't realize no matter what it is still blase programming.
Its going to be on the NFL Network, why should the NFL have a product like Inside..... and not put it on their own network? Its a shame I looked forward to it every week.
Frank: I do not think it will be on the NFL Network.
