Giants DVD debuts tonight, figures to be Oscar worthy
Speaking of the Oscars (see below) . . .
Sure, a lot of people still watch the show. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
But the viewership total almost surely will be less than half that of the Super Bowl.
Maybe they should have jumped the gun on next year's awards show and nominated the Giants' season-in-review DVD in the feature length documentary category.
Or was it all some sort of fictional, science fiction fantasy?

Neil,
Will you be attending the DVD premiere of the Giants video? maybe some reviews on it? I have already ordered my copy from amazon looking forward to its arrival.
I think Glauber is going.
Glauber, are you going?
Whichever of you winds up reviewing it, please don't give away the ending. :~)
At least the Oscars ended with time to spare, not 12:30am as usual and it had plenty of surprise endings too.
The Oscar's lost every every "real" male viewer 45 and over, a few years back when they gave best picture to "Amadeus" instead of "Saving Private Ryan".
Amadeus was a snoozer.
SPR was a benchmark moment in the production of the war movie genre. Speilberg and Hanks established a new paradigm for bringing war's ugly reality to the screen.
Yet "The Academy" thumbed their nose at it in favor of a movie that no has seen or heard of since.
The rebuff was an insult to Speilberg and friends as well as an insult to our parent's generation and anyone else who has suffered through the pain and misery of fighting a war.
May "The Academy" go to hell.
I, for one, don't even watch the ads promoting the show.
Just my opinion,. I could be wrong.
Islander505: I love you but I believe you have your years mixed up.
Whoops?
Shakespeare in Love?
Same difference. It sucked too.
I stand on all points I made in the previous comment.
