Fox offers a clean, calm Super Bowl presentation

6547.jpgHere is my review of Fox's TV coverage. I have no idea whether or not it is coherent.

The nuttiness of the finish and the deadline situation were not conducive to clear thinking or writing.

One thing I forgot to mention in the review that Fox should have mentioned in the broadcast, given the pivotal role played by David Tyree, is that his mother passed away very recently.

I assume that is why he pointed heavenward after scoring his touchdown.

When Tyree was a rookie I did a feature on the fact he still lived with his mother in Montclair. It was a pleasure to have met her.

I will soon read your review. Thanks for the Tyree trivia about his mom. It explains alot, what with the absolutely wacky catch he made, securing the ball with one hand on his head while one of the most aggressive defenders in the game did everything he could to cause the ball to fall.

I also wish note had been made about how Jughead said something to Tyree when the broke the huddle on the first TD catch.

Amazing game. Thank Fox and God that we didn't have to look at endless pictures of Archie. Tell Jughead he is still greatly disliked in Chargersville.

Enjoy the parade.

Bellacheck isn't an easy interview, I know, but after the game Meyers should have asked about foregoing the field goal attempt that might have made the score 10-3 and likely would have led to OT. Instead it was all cliche pap.

How about FOX broadcasting beautiful sunsets when supposedly it was gray and cloudy outside.
