I got to say a quick congratulations to Young Mr. Manning this morning before he was whisked off for the obligatory MVP whirlwind. He left with his agent and his fiancee for a (very) quick stop at Disneyland, then a cross-country flight back home in time for a scheduled appearance on "Late Show with David Letterman."

The show said this will be the fourth year in a row it has featured the first TV talk show interview with the Super Bowl-winning quarterback.

(Eli also is scheduled to do his weekly appearance on ESPN 1050 this afternoon, but I'm not sure how that will work logistically.)

Letterman has another scheduled guest for tonight, a Ms. Hillary Clinton. She's probably a Bears fan or something.

(UPDATE: Weather delays cancelled both of the above mentioned appearances. He'll be on Letterman Wednesday.)
