It turns out this dude Eric Deskin whom Glauber has identified as my latest look-a-like grew up in East Meadow and used to deliver Newsday.
More evidence for my theory that the world is run by people who used to deliver Newsday.
I'll have to check out one of Eric's upcoming comedy appearances.
I have to write a Tuesday newspaper column now.

If I were Glauber, I'd arrange for Eric Deskin to be on "Press Box" at 12:30 p.m. Sunday on Ch. 4 with you and your Daily News counterpart, Bob Raissman. OK, bye.
When I lived in Anchorage I didn't mind a couple people saying I look like Woody, because they never had seen a, um, New Yorker before. But I think people around here can do better than that. For starters, I outweigh the guy by a good 60 to 70 pounds.

I was a "Master Carrier" for Newsday. 68-69. (Netted a lot of new subscriptions). Used to pickup my papers from a guy name Al (?) Soroka in the back room of a little Italian Barber Shop on Broadway and Michigan Ave in North Massapequa. Back then, back rooms of Barber Shops were used for newspaper pickup or.....oh, never mind.
Were you the guy that used to hang out in Tony Knowles' Downtown Deli (the ONLY time I ever got good service there was during an election year) and order a bowl of menudo followed up by creamed herring and oatmeal? And then insult the people around him who ordered a more pedestrian eggs over easy plate? Asked us what it was like to eat warm dog spit?
