Chris Berman videos are gone from YouTube, alas
I have spent the past week ignoring the parade of highly amusing old Chris Berman videos floating about the blogosphere.
Two reasons: 1. Every other blog in the world was posting the stuff, so I figured those interested already had seen them. 2. There were many naughty words involved.
On Monday, Michael David Smith of AOL Fanhouse posted a response from ESPN, below which he gathered the various links for his readers' convenience. (I sat next to Mr. Smith on the bus to media day in Glendale. It was his first Super Bowl. I bored him with stories of olden times in the mid-1990s when I was a Super Bowl newcomer.)
David Scott of Boston Sports Media also posted ESPN's statement regarding Berman, and added that ESPN asked YouTube to take down the videos.
Sure enough . . . They're gone now. Sorry if I alerted you to all this too late.
