Tiki Barber watches Jints-Bucs from Ronde's suite
As I (very briefly) mentioned in Tuesday's newspaper column . . .
Tiki Barber made it to Tampa on an early Sunday flight in time to hang out on the field before the big game, where he greeted former Giants friends as well as his twin brother, Ronde.
Earlier in the week, Barber had suggested he might stand on the Bucs' sideline or perhaps in the end zone, but he wisely decided to avoid making a spectacle of himself and being caught on Fox's cameras.
Tiki left the field just as the players were arriving on it for the opening kickoff and watched from Ronde's suite.
After the game he was around the locker room area and again spoke to some teammates from his Giants days.
Enough of that story line. On to Jessica Simpson!!
That's enough for now. Don't forget to watch the 1993 Indiana-Michigan game on ESPN Classic at 4. I covered the Fab Five through both of their memorable NCAA Tournament runs in the early 1990s.
Sigh.

Enough about Tiki and Ronde.
Tiki's got a big mouth, we know that already. Let him voice his opinions and move on.
I bet Tiki checks his mail every day for something from the Nobel committee. You know, for his contribution to broadcasting, society, and teeth whitening...
Tiki is the greatest. Just ask him, he'll tell you.
I can already here the smattering of boos when Tiki is introduced at the ceremony to retire Strahan's #92 in a few years. No, Tiki's 21 will not have been retired by then.
Which Michigan-Indiana game from 1993? The one at Crisler Arena, or the one at Assembly Hall?
I just KNEW someone was going to ask that. Figures it would be a vacationing baseball writer with too much time on his hands. I think it was whichever game was on Jan. 12.
On Super Bowl Sunday, 1995, I covered a noon St. John's-Michigan game at Crisler Arena and was in my den watching the Super Bowl by the second quarter.
Of course, by then the 49ers already had pretty much wrapped things up. I was at the next 10 Super Bowls in person.
Sigh.
I was at that game on 1/12/93. It was at Crisler. Michigan lost in a nailbiter.
