Tiki Barber picks Giants on 'blind' faith
As far as I can tell, Tiki Barber (wisely) plans to lay low this week as Giants fans continue to call him an addition by subtraction and wonder what he thinks about the team's success without him.
He did talk about the Giants Tuesday on his Sirius NFL Radio show, "The Barber Shop." Here is a transcript:
On the Giants' performance against the Cowboys:
Tiki Barber: “I’ll tell you, it was exciting to watch. They have to be ecstatic about where they are right now because they have an opportunity. Obviously, Green Bay is not an easy task especially as well as Brett Favre [is playing] and some of the injuries that the Giants have in their secondary. I’m hearing Aaron Ross, who had a phenomenal season, one of the many young guys on the New York Giants who stepped up and played huge roles for them, but Aaron Ross is supposed to be playing. How long? You don’t know with that shoulder injury.”
Tiki: “With Green Bay’s receivers – Greg Jennings, Donald Driver, James Jones – they have major weapons that could be used to exploit a beat-up secondary. But you know what? Nobody expected the Giants to be where they are right now and it’s anybody’s game. It’s their time right now. They just have to execute on it."
Their NFC Championship picks:
Ronde Barber: “I’m taking Green Bay in this game. Obviously, I know you’re biased toward the Giants and the Giants have played well.”
Tiki: “I’ll blindly take the Giants.”
Ronde: “I am behind the arm of Brett Favre, behind a great defense, in my opinion, in Green Bay. They are playing in Green Bay. It’s going to snow again. It’s going to be 5 degrees.”
Tiki: “Everything pointed, for the last three weeks, for the Giants not to be where they are. Gotta go to Dallas. They’ve lost twice already. They’ve got to go to Tampa. Great defense.”
Ronde: “If they win I’ll give them their destiny but, believe me, they ain’t going to win.”
Tiki: “All right. We’ll see.”
(I apologize if Glauber or Staple also reports this in the Wednesday paper. It's too late for me to ask them now if they plan to, and I won't have time to post this in the morning if they haven't, so I'm doing it now.)

I NEVER liked him when he was on FOX taking advaantage of that network because it was down the block from his home.....
And when he QUIT the Giants........FOX didn't want him, so he went ot MSNBC where all good-for-nothing liberals go.......
