The Chargers are just rubbing it in now

chargers.jpgI saw on SportsCenter this morning that the Chargers conducted their interviews Thursday outdoors.

L.T. seemed to be squinting in the sun as he took questions at a podium. Other players spoke with telegenic hills as a backdrop and lush, green trees fanning them from afar.

Must they rub it in like that? I've seen enough. Go Pats. (Sorry, Charlie Chilkoot. I'll be thinking of you when it's 20 degrees here Sunday.)

Perhaps you've heard that home prices are dropping out here, so the weather is becoming more affordable. Now if they could only build a new stadium for less than $1 billion.

And then through a twist of fate, I ended up with too many tickets to the game Sunday in Foxboro, so have decided to break out my old Minnesota/Alaska gear and head to the ballgame with my wife. The flight there is expensive but coming home out of Albany is cheap. You going to be in the basement on Tuesday?

Wish us all luck. (I know you were only kidding with that Go Pats stuff.)

How the heck did you get TOO MANY tickets?

Asked a friend with contacts for a favor and didn't want to bug him any more, so on Wednesday night did a deal on Stubhub. On Thursday I got an email from the friend and he had two tickets. Couldn't turn him down, could I? Both pair are top deck, two in 326 and two in 324. All are in Row 19. What's the Wind Chill Factor supposed to be?
