SNY planning a new show(s), coming soon

scott1.jpgI'm hearing SNY is planning some sort of new show (and/or shows) that likely will feature Joe Benigno, Scott Ferrall and Chris Carlin, who have become regular personalities on the station.

"I'm hearing'' is a cool-sounding way of passing along (well-informed) whispers and making it sound insider-ish.

I will sort all this stuff out more professionally upon the conclusion of the football season and my return to the cozy confines of the basement.

But changes are afoot.

nb,has roger director been seen ,maybe with a video camera?

As I alluded to in an earlier posting today, they billed this very panel as "Daily News Live" just last week. So, Neil, please find out from your insiders if that was a trial run or if someone called them out on it.

Excellent. I hope Joe wears his brown suit at least once a week.

Any news from MSG?
I thought SNY had the Snooze and WalrsuStache to do its public relations work for them.

Can a show centered around NY Daily News ever get actual writers from the Daily News to be on the panel? Sure Lupica has the biggest ego in the business, Gary Myers probably made a committment to the YES Network, TJ Quinn moved on to ESPN and Lisa Olson probably doesn't want to be in the public eye after that Patriots incident but can we please not have these wannabe talking heads (and Bob Raissman) akways on? I really didn't mind the show at the beginning when they just had writers, though Garry Apple was/is a total geek, but now hearing guys like Carlin and Beningo yell at each other, the worst part is they have a PTI-like segment on SportsNite to just yell back and forth when they're side by side, for 60 minutes of my time.

PS Get well soon Mike Wilbon. There is nothing minor about a heart attack.

I watch the 1:30am replay of DNL every night and like the combo for the possible new show, Ferrall rocks!!

I can't believe someone has something negative to say about Gary Apple. No he is not a geek, he is actually very cool. In my opinion he's the best sports broadcaster anywhere and very funny--though I'm sure he's too intelligent for some and probably goes over their heads.
