Rich Eisen is displeased with Cablevision

jagger1_330x470.jpgHere is an item currently on the Web site about Rich Eisen and the NFL Network.

He mentions past Super Bowl interviews with the likes of Mick Jagger, hence the disturbing picture at right.

Sorry.

After showing the Giants' arrival news conference live tonight, the NFL Network will show Super Bowl XXI for the first time in its entirety since Phil Simms first flummoxed the Broncos 21 years ago.

Enjoy.

He's so right about the Knicks, but wrong about NFL Network. In many ways the NFL Network's arrogance mirrors that of Knick's management. If only both of them would change in 2008 the sports world would be a better place.

I think ESPN, SNY, MSG and of course, Newsday, are giving me more then enough SB hype. I think my head would explode if I watched NFL network this week.

Commenting from the left coast this week, and quite possibly from Glendale this weekend. And I don't mean Queens.

NFL Network's got to quit whining. I think they've lost the battle, and quite a few wars, too in their tussle with big cable operators.
I'm a football fan. I have the NFL Network at work via the ugly gray dish. It's valuable around this time of year, if only to see the actual over-the-air broadcasts of Super Bowls from III onward. I watched part of the Giants' first SB last night ... Parcells looked so young ... Summerall was at the top of his game for CBS ... and Madden wasn't so Maddening.

[I always heard the NFL has a partial video recording of SB II from CBS ... nothing other than an audio tape of SBI ...]

And the net really has to ramp up the quality of their game telecasts. It looks so C-team. Greg, not Bryant. Please.

Again, if the NFL lets cable get the Sunday Ticket package, the quid pro quo should be the NFL Network. And it'll be on the digital sports tier, too, as is the NBA channel, NHL channel, the soon-to-come MLB channel, etc.
