Las Vegas enjoys close, hard-fought NFL action
Saturday night's exciting Jags-Steelers game attracted a predictably high rating for NBC - 16.7 percent of homes in 56 major markets, peaking at 20.6 percent from 11:30 to 11:45 p.m., as the Jaguars drove for the winning field goal.
What I found interesting is that in addition to the expected top five markets in the ratings - Pittsburgh, Jacksonville, Indianapolis, Tampa, San Diego - sneaking in at No. 10 was Las Vegas at 19.8 percent.
Hmm. Might that have had something to do with the fact the margin was hovering extremely close to the betting line, and that Las Vegas is the only major market where pondering such things is legal?
Just a thought.
