Jaromir Jagr is greatly displeased with Mike Milbury

mario%26jagr1.jpgOK, hockey people: Here's one that really, really needs to go up on Rangers message boards. Work with me.

Spies in the TV and/or hockey worlds tell me that Jaromir Jagr and/or the Rangers were so mad about recent comments from NBC analyst Mike Milbury about him that he did not sit for interviews with NBC producers sent out this week to gather interviews for Sunday's Bruins-Rangers tilt.

NBC got several other prominent Blueshirts on tape, but not Jagr.

Hey, Mad Mike promised to stir things up for the Peacocks. I guess he's off to a fast start.

1) Just read MM's comments and they are spot on. We have been critics of Milbury through the years, but here everything that he is quoted as saying is 100% accurate. We'd be surprised if the Rangers' front office wouldn't agree(off the record of course)
2) JJ is a great talent. When he's on his game there have been few who can equal his abiity. That said, he has been a tempermental, even childish at times in the way he handles himself. He needs constant cottleing from team mates and coaches and frequently pouts/plays below his ability if he doesn't have things his way.
3) Jagr's refusal to do an interview(if true) would just confirm what Milbury stated about him

Don't worry, fauxrumers, it's true. I'm just not 100 percent sure whether it was Jagr directly or the Rangers indirectly who kept him away from NBC producers.

I am very displeased with NBC's decision to hire Mad Mike. I don't blame Jagr or anyone in the Rangers' front office for refusing interviews. What Milbury said was inappropiate, insulting and uncalled for. I suffered through his coverage today of the Ranger/Bruin game. His comments about his best hits of the season which included Colton Orr's hit on Matt Cullen was disgusting. I am a huge hockey fan and love a good fight, but to knock someone out and put him out for 6 wks is not a good hit nor is it a fight. I hope NBC gets enough complaints that they fire him. I'd rather have Hull back than this yo-yo.

Milbury is a know nothing pompous clown!

Mibury was a hack as a player and is a hall of fame hack as an announcer. Fire the bastard!
