I've never been suspended and am starting to feel left out
There is a protest scheduled in Bristol Friday against ESPN's Dana Jacobson that is based on a comment she made might very well not have made at a roast of some colleagues a couple of weeks back.
Alcohol apparently was involved. But she only was driving her mouth, so I believe it was legal.
Pretty soon, I am going to be the last media person left in America not suspended for saying or writing something off color. That is my goal, anyway.
Best way to achieve it: stay biege, or gray, or perhaps a dull, buttery, off-white. Nothing bold or naughty.
Sigh. I should have been a marine biologist or a Chinese food delivery man or something useful to society.

Imagine if the Friars Club roasted Milton Berle or George Raft in today's climate of intolerance. Instead of being beloved relics of the past, Danny Thomas, Jerry Lewis, Buddy Hacket, George Jessel and the like would have been deemed social pariah's. I always though roasts were like Las Vegas - what happens at roasts stays in roasts. Still in all, these public figures have to realize what life is like. Hey Neil, be careful about what you say at Bob Glauber's retirement party in 2018.
