I do not have this on tape and thus don't have the verbatim exchange or even the context, but this morning on WFAN I heard Craig Carton make a general comment about how there are bad sports talk hosts in the world.
Then he mumbled a throwaway line that went something like this: "He's working in Florida now."
Hmmm. Good morning, Sid! I figured you'd find this interesting
Maybe Craig was referring to another fellow sports talk host with whom he used to work. Or not.

I heard Sid Rosenberg on the Scott Ferrel show Thurs. night good stuff, he was talking about the Dolphins and the 8 million dollar payroll the Marlins have, he also said he had a handshake agreement with Jim Leyritz and mgmt to do a baseball talk show together for the upcoming season,I guess thats a no go now.
Yes, there are bad sports talk hosts in this world and Carton is one of them. WFAN needs to dump him and find Monica Crowley - she and Boomer did several summer try out shows and they were very good.
I like Sid whenever I hear him on Sirius
Carton is like a thirteen year old girl who just never ever shuts up. Rambles on ad naseum (sp?) about stuff he knows nothing about. Thank God Imus is back on the air.
I would never say Sid was a bad sportscaster. But he was far better then Carton could be.
I call it the Cartoon and Boombag show. With Imus now having Warner Wolf, who cares in my opinion what either of them say.
Now Neil we need your picks for this weekend.
Bruce from Florida
Neil,
Does anybody actually listen to Egosian and Cartoon???!
Thanks!

When Sid sticks to sports and not the baloney, he is ok.
Carton on the other hand is a total no-talent. He sounds as annoying vocally as mad dog, and that's no compliment, that man has a speech impediment.
I don't really care about Sid, though his comments about Kyle Minogue were as over the line as you could go, but did anybody notice after the Imus Controversy he wasn't a panelist on DNL anymore? Also in that time he was there Scab Raissman didn't refer to write about him or call him Sidiot any longer.
