Brad Benson makes an unfunny joke about Mormons

brad_benson.jpgI'm certainly no p.c. prude, despite all these Kelly Tilghman stories I keep writing. But I am troubled by a line in a Brad Benson auto ad that has been running on WFAN and seems to be more than a little disrespectful to Mormons. Seriously.

In the script the former Giant talks about how well he gets along with women, then veers off into the Presidential candidates' wives and says this:

"If Romney is elected, I'm pretty sure I'd get along with all of his wives."

Oy. Must we?

calm down...put on 1050 so you can go back to sleep.

Ugh. Enough of this already. Please.
Sigh...

Neil,
I am glad you brought this up he says something else in the same ad that struck me as odd I wish I can remember what it was, I personally did not get offended by it just thought upon hearing it some people might.

I would think it is more offensive that the Mormon religion and their founders accepted, allowed, and had multiple wives.

It's a weird ad, taking shots at Rudy's number of wives and Clinton's lack of sensitivity besides the Romney stuff. It's good material if he's doing a roast but I don't know if it helps him sells cars.

At least it's better than his last ad with his brother.

And I finally realized it's not the Ben Benson steak guy's ads.

So don't go buy a car there. Big deal
