Bob Papa was in Germany not long before I saw him here
Bob Papa, the Giants' radio play-by-play man, is not on the team flight right now. I know this because I ran into him in the media center early this morning.
Papa covered a boxing match for HBO in Berlin Saturday night. He left at 9 a.m. local time to fly back home to New Jersey, said a quick hello to his family, then flew to Arizona and was at the Sirius Satellite Radio set at around 5 a.m. local time this morning.
When I saw him he needed a shave.

Bob Papa, learned under Marty Glickman and Jim Gordon and the "Voice of the Giants". Marv Albert will be doing the game for Westwood One, another Glickman protege. I will be listening to both these great announcers on Super Sunday XLII. For Giants fans around the world, hearing one of these two is a good as it gets........
I meant to say, Bob Papa is the "Voice of Giants".
