I stood inches away from Gisele Bundchen on the elevator at Giants Stadium before the Patriots-Giants game tonight.
She got off on the eighth floor, headed to a suite to watch her favorite quarterback play for the Pats.
I got off on the ninth floor and wandered into the press box.
The rest is kind of a blur.

Good thing you didn't take an escalator

She doesn't do anything for me. But most supermodels (except for Heidi Klum) don't either. They don't want truly beautiful women to distract the "clothes" they are modeling.
Speaking of supermodels and athletes back in 2001 in Moto GP (motorcycle racing to the uninitiated. The best type of racing although last year stunk thanks to Michelin supremacy over Bridgestone) champion Max Biaggi was dating Claudia Schiaffer. The newcomer Valentino Rossi emerged as the main challenger to Biaggi with a city vs country mix thrown in (Biaggi is from Rome, Rossi from a small coastal city). After winning a race Rossi got a rubber model with a blonde wig that said "Claudia Schiaffer", put it on his cycle and drove it around the track after winning a race to the dkight of everybody save Biaggi. See the movie "Faster"..a great look at Moto GP narrated by Liam Neeson. Let's see some team to that if they can defeat the Patriots.
My elevator story is from Dallas, TX, back in 1980. I happened to have a press pass to take pictures at a special Sunday Night ABC game between the Chargers and Cowboys. I decided to get a pregame meal at the Press Box trough. The elevator door opened on the ground floor and there were a couple Rangers inside. When I got on there was some question about whether they should have let me or not. Instead of going up to the Press Box and food, it went down to the basement. Once there, the doors opened to Howard Cosell. He got on and never really stopped talking as we went up to get some food.
He wasn't nearly as pretty as Gisele is.
As a reporter, you should have asked her if she was coming back from Gate D.
Chris: I think we have an early leader for the first comment contest award of '08!
i think she was looking for a paper salesman to share the game with.
At least she is smart enough not to wear a pink Number 12 Pats Jersey and flaunt herself on TV like Jessica Simpson
After the game, while Mr. Brady was signing autographs en route to the bus, Ms. Bundchen leaped into the arms of another man and wrapped her legs around his waist, apparently celebrating the big victory.
I'm assuming this fellow was a relative or friend of Gisele and/or Tom, or else it was quite a dis, as Tom was standing not 25 feet away.
Anyway, even if Gisele recognized me from the elevator, she apparently was not moved to jump into my arms. Maybe she saw my wedding ring. Lesson learned for next time.
Yeah, poor Bridget Moynahan. As for all the Jessica Simpson comparison with Giselle, of course the cameras are not trained on her even if she's at the games. She might be a super model but the main stream public are not really familiar with her face. Whereas, it does't matter where & what Jessica wears, she is recognized. So I don't frankly understand why some people even some media types are bashing her for attending the games and rooting on her man. It is not her fault that the tv cameras are constantly on her face.
