This story asserts that Tribune plans to sell the Cubs within the next six months.
As a long-time employee, a minor stockholder and the company's 41st-most-popular blogger, I say this: Don't do it!
Is a mere $1 billion or so worth giving up on the franchise just as it is about to end its championship drought after 100 years?
I'm willing to do my part with a bold gesture: Keep the Cubs, and I promise to pass up any raises for the rest of the current calendar year.
