Patriots are undefeated on field, slumping vs. spread

cappelletti.jpgMrs. WatchDog does not allow betting on sports events, because it's illegal and because she enjoys owning a suburban home and eating things other than Ramen noodles.

Thus I made no money from being certain the Jets would lose by less than three touchdowns to the Patriots Sunday.

Still, ever since writing a newspaper column last week about the Patriots' unprecedented point-spread season, I have been following betting lines more than usual.

Here is the latest from my new second-favorite betting columnist (after Ed McNamara, of course) as he breaks down Week 15 in extreme detail.

Two interesting tidbits: His statistics on the NFC vs. the AFC, and his take on Brian Westbrook's famous flop at the 1-yard line Sunday.

Enjoy. But only bet for real if you are visiting Vegas for the holiday break.
